Change...

Change...it's everywhere you look, every day...all the time.  The only thing that does not change is God.  His ways, His feelings, His love for us...they remain the same regardless of whether we are saint or sinner.  He loved us when He was being nailed to the cross, He loved us through our sin, He loves us once we are saved.  He will love us to the ends of the earth and into eternity regardless of what becomes of us.  He will not approve of us if we end up on the path that will take us straight to hell but, He will never stop loving us.  How do I know this?

Hebrews 13:8

New International Version (NIV)

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

This is how.  It states clearly in the bible that He is unchanging.  Regardless of how He feels...He is never going to change.  We on the otherhand were made to change.  We were designed to adapt and change and survive the adversities of life.  We will survive better and more joyfully with Christ in our lives.  Look around you...you can tell who has Christ and who does not.  Christians have a certain joy that others simply don't possess.  I noticed this in a meeting at work yesterday.  One woman I felt wretchedly sorry for because she looked miserable and I remember that misery.  But, if I offer them the word of God and it's many comforts...they want nothing of it.  They would rather wallow in their misery.  I will never understand that.  I will be praying for that woman.  She's going to need it!

Today's riddle:

What colors would you paint the sun and the wind?

I'm off to look at DVD players today.  At some point the Playstation is going to die and I will have no way to exercise with Leslie Sansone.  I like her in-home walking programs and I decided I can't live without them.  I like the Zumba but, there are just days when my body hurts too much to do that.  I've also ordered a package deal of three other workouts of hers.  One for abs, yoga and pilates.  This fat has got to go!  I'd at least like to be in reasonably good shape as I age.  I can just see it now...I'll have alzheimers with the body of a 40 yr. old when I'm 80.  *Snorts & laughs*

Well, I must go.  I need to grab a bite to eat and go DVD player shopping.  I plan to dine with my elderly friends this evening.  Unless they decide to go to the farmer's market.  I will then be dining alone with a good book.

See you all again soon.  Take care!!
