1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We all know that to walk in the sunlight is to be in it all day. We do not think about it unless it becomes too hot and then we try to get out of it.

When we walk in the sunlight, we can see better, we are happier, and we are more at peace; because walking in the dark leaves us open to the fearful images of our imagination.

We are much more confident in the sunlight than at night, in the dark.

God wants us to walk in His word.

Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Jesus became God’s word so that we could ‘see’ the way God wants us to ‘walk’ –live.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The thing is, is that, when we walk in light, it is always there, shining on, and around us, to illuminate the way we are to walk but, also, illuminating our lives. This illumination shows the world what we do but it also shows us what we are doing right or WRONG.

To walk in the son light means to always be aware that Jesus (and our father, God) are watching us 100% of the time. There is no place, or no time, when they are not there watching our thoughts, and actions.

They are also aware of OUR MOTIVES for what we do.

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

God is not real interested in what His enemies think or do, unless they repent.

He is real interested in what His children think and do because that is how we honour Him, with our lives.

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

God knows we are weak and prone to fail.

Psalm 78:39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

God has also made a provision for our inopportune thoughts by giving us a way to return to Him by repentance.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

We cannot hide from God’s light and we cannot hide our sin or wickedness from Him.

Jesus is watching us all the time; not to condemn our evil thoughts but to forgive immediately, upon our repentance and self- discipline.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

God only wants good for us and wants us to come to the light that we can be corrected and saved.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Jesus wants us to finish our race, in this life, well; for our sakes, because He loves us.

1 Corinthians 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

1 Corinthians 10:33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

But, because He also loves His father, He is bringing judgment to separate those who strive for good works and those who do not care.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

It is a good thing to walk in the son light; it keeps us corrected and on the right path.
