Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Are we really happy with where we are and what life is like around us?

We seem to have all of God’s blessings and little of the world’s problems. Have we arrived?

Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The unbelievers, in our life, have accepted us and appear to be our friends, our children are not into drugs and violence, even though they don’t attend church or speak of Jesus, we have few needs and, if we did, the government, social organizations, and financial businesses are readily available to help us, our health is well looked after by our hospitals, doctors, pharmacists, and healthy living, and our loneliness is taken care of by phone help numbers, online chat rooms, and social media; haven’t we got it all?

We are very comfortable, so, why rock the boat?

If we are comfortable with the status quo, why would we seek to change it?

We are living a comfortable life for us. Is that how we are to serve our lord?

Is He there just so WE can be blest and WE can be comfortable?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Well, then, that seems to be true; WE ARE PART OF THE WORLD THAT GOD LOVES.

Too bad about those other people who do not know how good Jesus is. Maybe, if I wave my Bible and rush by them, on my way to church, they will take the hint and get saved. They all cannot be that stupid.

Sometimes, I wish God would send them a super-Christian that would lead them to Jesus and they could understand how they too could live comfortably and at peace with this world. Someone they would listen to and believe.

Why, they listen to me but, of course, we have the same interests in our hobbies and lifestyles and don’t have enough time to talk of Jesus or any of those ‘religious’ things.

They wouldn’t listen to me, anyway.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Surly I don’t HAVE to do any more TO GO TO HEAVEN.

John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Our lives are in Jesus. What He says we are to do, is what we are to do. He says;

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1 Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
