Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The gospel – the good news; what is that?

Many religions, books and speeches have been created explaining and promoting God’s ‘good news’ but is it really THAT hard to understand?

Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

It is, after all, GOOD NEWS; the angels said as much. Does not everyone WANT to hear and understand ‘good news’?

Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Jesus was born, lived, and died; what is so special about that? Babies are born every day and people die every day, even some newborn babies, die. It happens all the time.

Okay, so Jesus is God’s son. That part is different but His life went the same as everyone else.

1Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Alright, Jesus was raised back to life again, by God. That is also different but is THAT great enough to be God’s good news? I can see where it could be good news for Jesus or good news for God; He had His son back alive again, after all, and took Him home with Him.

That is Good news for them but the angels said it was good news FOR US.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Okay, Jesus is a saviour; again, what does THAT have to do with us and why is it good news?

Jesus lived a sinless life. Sin???? Huh?

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus was sinless but became sin FOR US?

Can’t we have enough sin of our own without Jesus becoming more sin and for us? A lot of people live and they all die so is sin THAT BIG  a deal?

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Oh… sin has given us death. Death is bad, how?

Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

So, sin separated us from God.

We were made in God’s image. God is our creator and our heavenly father but WE WERE SEPARATED FROM HIM BY OUR SIN.

Jesus reconciled us before God and now we can reconnect with our heavenly father.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So, the ‘good news’ of God is that Jesus paid so WE COULD BE RECONCILED BACK TO God. THAT IS GOOD NEWS.

We no longer have to be separated from the love of God for His creation; US!

2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God made a way for us to be back with God and a part of His family again.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Galatians 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

God’s good news; Jesus made a way for us to come back and be a part of God’s family, again.

The Gospel (Good News) is easily stated by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time."
Not everyone wants to understand it though. There are people, even churches, that deny the truth of the Word of God and who will spend eternity separated from God in the Lake of fire (Hell).
Thanks for the post and God bless,
