Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

What God gives us is not for us to judge and accept or condemn and reject.

God gives everything for us TO ENJOY.

1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

God gives us the riches of His earth so we can live healthy and happy lives. That means ALL OF US.

Those who amass wealth and possessions, for their own gain and pleasure, have not known the love of God and will receive nothing else, in the way of reward.

1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

In God’s love, He gives us possessions so we have something to give to those people who have a need for them.

Ephrsians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Those of us who have possessions and were born in a place of plenty, have a responsibility to give to those who were not born in a place to get what they need to be healthy and happy.

We have the poor always with us and have many opportunities to give what we can to those less fortunate. It is because of the greed of many that giving has become a chore and hard work.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

We have possessions because the love of God abounds towards His creation and He wants us to be like Him and love; having a love that will give to those in need.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

For this reason, God is giving the people, of His creation, what they need, by giving it to those who should be giving it away.

It is the love of God for all mankind that gives us the ability to gain possessions and have wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

When we understand that even the air we breathe is given to us, by God, and that we can get nothing, if we do not have the life force of God in us.

Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

God gave us life and sustains our life with His gifts. Why would WE THINK that WE can gain anything ourselves? Could it be that we have set our heart on possessions and ‘things’ and are neglecting the true meaning of the love of God?

Psalms 62:10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

If you have it, God gave it to you. Now ask yourself the question ‘why’; was it so you could give it to someone in need or so that you could have it for your own lusts?

If it was for your own need, give thanks to God who gives to all, liberally.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

If it was so you could supply another’s need, be quick to find that person and give, because maybe the need is urgent.

Proverbs 3:27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Proverbs 3:28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

If it is so you can consume it with your own lusts, then be sure you will have no further need for more than what you already have.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
