552 I HAVE RIGHTS?

Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

When we were created, man had no rights but he was given many responsibilities.

Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

That’s right, man’s first job was to be a farmer; keeping God’s earth healthy and vibrant for God AND HIS DESIRES.

When God gave man a companion, He also gave them more responsibilities.

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

(Of course, there had been a lot happen between man’s given responsibilities to keep the earth and replenish it and that had a direct influence on our responsibilities. We gave away control of the earth to the devil but we still HAVE TO LIVE HERE.)

Up to this point, there is no record of anyone thanking God for what He had done. We exist at the whim of God but, because He is a wise AND RESPONSIBLE God, He is patient and kind to His creation.

Psalm 78:39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

So far, because we were given the command to replenish the earth, our only ‘right’ is to reproduce and care for this earth. So, every baby HAS THE RIGHT TO BE BORN. This ‘right’ is not overruled by the mother’s OR FATHER’S WISHES.

However, after having said that, the children ARE the property, and under the control of, their parents; the main ruler, in their lives, to be their father. (This also gives the father and mother the responsibility of caring for their children. Gifts require us to be responsible for their care.)

Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

And, to the parents;

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

In theory, parents HAVE THE RIGHT TO KILL THEIR KIDS but, they will not be doing God’s will and will have to give an account of their actions at the White Throne judgment of God.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Technically, we have no rights except what God will give us. However, I have a pet saying, which is that ‘everyone has the ‘right’ to hear the truth’.

God will never lie and we should not either.

Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

You have been given life at the whim of your parents, using the tools God gave them for reproducing.

Once you are conceived, you don’t get ‘rights’, you get ‘responsibilities’

As with God, what you get in your life is not a right but a gift. Everything you get, whether you receive it or not, is a gift from someone. It may be a good gift or a bad gift but, in order for you to have it, someone MUST GIVE IT TO YOU.

Salvation is a gift from God through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Instead of demanding rights, which are not ours, we should be ‘asking’ for mercy so that we do not get bad gifts.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
