Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

It is very easy to cheat a Christian because Jesus is teaching us to have faith.

Having faith means that we WANT TO BELIEVE the things people tell us. We want everyone to speak the truth and, when they don’t, we want them to come back to us, express regret and tell us the corrected words.

This is the Christian way and the way IT WILL BE in God’s heavenly kingdom.

However, the DEVIL IS A LIAR and his people lie consistently. (Which is one of their traits to recognize them by.)

In a world of liars, it is difficult to have faith.

Like the world, we are taught to rely on our eyes and believe them but they, also, lie to us, more than we want to admit. Many times, what we see is NOT WHAT IS REAL.

Those who trust in and believe Jesus have been given His Holy Spirit to teach us and tell us the truth but WE HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME AND ENERGY TO LISTEN to Him.

Then we have our experiences but they too will lie to us. Unless we have heard from God, who is the only one who is completely true all the time, then we may have been living a lie from our youth and never known any different.

I know I was living a lie, in sin, before Jesus introduced Himself to me. When I believed Him, repented, and trusted Him, He told me the truth AND PROVED IT TO ME WITH SIGNS AND WONDERS THAT ALWAYS WORKED.

The biggest example of lying is in words. The world is full of words, books, stories, speeches, and just plain everyday comments THAT ARE LIES.

Liars lie all day, every day and books written from wrong viewpoints are lying just being in existence.

People speak from their wrong opinions and lie for their own gain.

We are so used to feeling, seeing, and HEARING lies that we doubt everything, even the truth.

When we doubt the truth, it is our sin because the truth will set us free to believe God.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

It is troubling to hear and believe lies but worse to hear the truth and not believe.

The truth will give us correct instructions and point to the correct path for our lives. To not hear and believe true instruction is to love lies and DEATH.

Proverbs 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

This leaves us with the dilemma of struggling to find the truth in a world that is full of lies. It is like trying to live in a minefield thick full of live mines. Your next decision or action might be your last one.

That is why God proved His love for us and showed us that He would never lie to us by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us BEFORE WE KNEW THAT WE NEEDED HIM.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Now that we KNOW where the truth is, it is up to us to accept and respond to Jesus and His true words.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

God gave us His word in His son, who left us His word in His Bible AND IN HIS PEOPLE so we can know who is His by comparing their lives to His word.

Jesus knew that, after He taught His disciples, He would have to leave to be with His heavenly father and that He was leaving them in a dangerous place.

Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

He also promised to help us know the truth and guide us in it.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

To hear the truth and act on it is to live by faith. To hear the truth and not act on it is sin and is not faith.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Faith overcomes sin, fear, and doubt and those who love God will live in it.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Our faith WILL PLEASE OUR GOD but without it we will not.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
