Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Salvation and our faithfulness; People say that they are saved. Saved from what?

We do not need God’s salvation until the judgement so how can I have it now. I am not at the judgement yet. THEN I WILL NEED JESUS’ SALVATION, because nothing I can do will earn me His salvation.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

We need salvation from death and hell. In Hell, we will be eternally separated from God and my love, Jesus Christ; not to mention the eternal burning and torment thing.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Ah, my name MUST be written in the book of life to escape hell’s fires. That is where the repenting and accepting Jesus’ gift of eternal life comes in.

Does that ensure me what they call ‘once saved, always saved’?

Hell has its degrees or levels of punishment because there is a lower hell (so it would be understood for there to be an upper hell.)

Psalm 86:13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Oh, that’s just David’s way of talking, hum? Is it God’s way to express Himself so frivolously? No.

Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

So, if we have degrees of punishment, maybe we have degrees of reward? Yep, to whom much is given, much will be required.

Luke 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

You see, many think to say a little prayer will entitle them to an eternity of peaceful bliss with all the freedom and wealth of heaven. Nope.

There is a  faithfulness and a service, which is expected of us.

Let’s face it, If we say we love Jesus but ignore His requests, are we showing Him that we really love Him? Are we showing Him we are really His children or maybe just bastards that are looking to escape hellfire?

The wedding guest at the King’s son’s wedding were all given, and required to wear, wedding garments. These people were already at the wedding and in the meeting hall. They were in and, supposedly ‘safe’.

It was because of their callous heart and unconcerned attitude that showed their disrespect for the King and His son, that they were thrown into outer darkness.

Matthew 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

The same standard could be applied to the unfaithful servant in Matthew Chapter 25. He was already a servant of his master and was given a responsibility. He not only failed in his task, he didn’t even try. He showed his master how little he thought of him by his actions, and this AFTER HE HAD BECOME HIS SERVANT!

Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

You see, repentance is not the end of our service to God. It is only the beginning.

God did EVERYTHING to show us how much He loves us.

We OWE IT TO HIM to try our very best for Him.

I don’t know about you, but I love Jesus and want a place as close to Him as I possibly can get in His kingdom. Being cast out into outer darkness does not sound very close to my King, and master, to me.
