April Fool's + 2

All day long on April 1 I tried to think of a funny April Fool's joke to play. But nothing came to mind. It was just me and my hubby hanging around the house that day - no visitors, no phone calls, just us two old people. It was a beautiful day with sunshine and a light breeze, unlike the last day of March. That day belied the old saying, "March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb." Instead March left with huge gusty winds that filled our pool with detritis from the newly leafing and blossoming trees. Huge dried fronds from the 30 foot palm tree in the front covered our front yard and the street. It was almost as if March threw a temper tantrum because it wasn't ready to be over. I certainly felt that someone had fast forwarded time so that March didn't March - it double-timed right on past.

Today I thought of a couple of April Fool jokes I could have played - but too late! Better to be wise that foolish.

Proverbs 1:7 tells me, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Guess I'm glad that I don't have any "fools" in my family!

About: Faith in Christ is the foundation of my essence. My relationship with Jesus began when I was nearly six years old when I asked Jesus to come into my heart and be my Savior. But my testimony doesn't end there. Throughout my 60+ years, the Lord has been growing me and leading me through valleys and up on mountaintops to develop the character He wants me to have. I have learned that He truly does work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. Trust is key to a deep abiding obedient relationship with my Heavenly Father. God bless all who enter here!
