Words About Thoughts

Keep your heart with all dilligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23

You'll face two forces today: the negative and the positive. According to the above proverb, both come at you through your mind.  Negative thoughts  fill you with doubt, anger and bitterness.  Positive thoughts, on the other hand, soothe and heal.  Positive thoughts fill you with peace and hope. They can even fill you with joy.

You choose which you will entertain.

God's Word, the Holy Bible, tells us to bring, "...every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."  2nd Corinthians 10:5

So, we are not to entertain, and accept, every thought that flits through our minds.  If a thought does not "obey" Christ, refuse to let it hand around.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY: I will think only on good things, today.

ONE MORE SCRIPTURE VERSE:   ...whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy think of these things.   Philippians 4:8

Let's think on these things today.

Good advice for anybody, RevDell. I am so thankful that the "madding crowd" can be turned off and avoided because I can choose to turn it off and I live on an isolated farm. Often during the day it is possible to sit outside and hear nothing of civilization…only nature. What a blessing it is to be able to be truly still. All my family breathes a sigh of relief when they turn into our lane, which leads each of us home.

I am so sorry for those who seemingly cannot turn off the world and be still with nature. It has cost humanity much to have become so efficient at bringing the world in and having it turned on all the time.

Thanks for writing your post.
