Stop Blaming God for what the Devil has done!

1 John 1:5  This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

We need to correct our theology!  Too many Christians have been taught through good hearted, sincere theologians, that God is to blame for everything that happens here on earth, including evil, for they assume the word (omnipotent) means that God is at fault for everything that happens.  They fail to consider the possibility that there is an evil force on this earth, hell-bent on getting us all to blame God and ignore him.

Jesus clearly tells us this is not so.  Please look at John 10:10…

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Because of our misunderstanding of Old Testament accounts, we assume statements made by Old Testament Characters like Job were theologically correct.  “The Lord giveth and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”  We find out at the conclusion of Jobs story that he was mistaken.

People fail to understand that Satan is the arch-nemesis and author of evil and will do whatever he can to trick us into believing God is to blame.  The one we seem to cling to the most is sickness and disease.  We allow ourselves to suffer because we believe, because of misguided theologians, that God must be “teaching us a lesson.”

If this were true then Jesus was disobeying his Father when he prayed for the sick, cast out devils and healed every sickness and every disease!  (Matthew 9:25)

When tragedy strikes, we automatically blame God.  Even insurance companies have adopted this false teaching by calling natural tragedies “acts of God.”

Jesus came to show us the Father.  Look at his life and teachings and try to find one verse where he caused sickness and disease or where he instituted tragedy of any kind.  He was always full of grace and compassion.  He was tender and full of mercy.  Any other kind of evil, disastrous, malevolent activity would be in direct opposition to His revealed nature, character and will.

I pray that you examine your theology and begin to make sure it lines up with what the Word of God describes as the true nature and character of a good, gentle and compassionate Heavenly Father.  Take the authority which Christ has given you to resist the devil and make him flee from you.

PRAYER:   Father, forgive me for blaming you for what the enemy has done!  Thank you for allowing me to love you as you love me.  To understand your love would never harm me or my family.  You are not a child abuser.  You instruct me through Your Word, not by physical punishment.  You chastise me through Your Holy Spirit speaking to my spirit in tones of correction and love.  You are an Awesome God!  Amen.

There's a big reason most folks don't pray or dare ask God about anything. All through my late teens I was taught "God is in control", and "God always gets his way", and "Don't bother God, he's too busy for your stuff". The outcome of those faulty opinions was to keep me trying to avoid God at all cost until age 25, lest he send the next lightening bolt onto me. That's when my wife insisted on my church attendance, though I dared not pray for another 9 years. What loss has come from many people with similar experience?
