TODAY

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for reminding me of the importance of TODAY!  I know that I must not put off for tomorrow what I need to deal with TODAY.  I also know that my loved ones tomorrows hinge on a decision they need to make TODAY.  Give me the boldness and intense desire to see to it that none of my family, friends and co-workers miss heaven because they failed to act on the promises TODAY!  AMEN

Today

Hebrews 3:15 (NLT)

15 Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

TODAY, what a BIG little word!  How will you approach today?  What will you do today?  What decisions will you make today and how will those decisions effect your tomorrow?

There are people, who approach TODAY like any other.  They live today as if it were no special day.  Their attitude is, “what is not addressed today can be addressed tomorrow.”

When you watch the “news” on television, you discover there are people, who woke up that morning with the same attitude, however before the day was over they were a headline in the newspaper.  Their tomorrow would be spent in eternity.

We first need to approach this issue on a personal level, considering the possible consequences of our decisions.  Once we have that settled, then we need to deal with it on a family and friends level.  If we are truly convinced, concerning what the Bible teaches us about our relationship to God, we then need to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ. It is then time to consider approaching others about this eternal question.

2 Corinthians 6:2 For He says:  “In an acceptable time I have heard you,  And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”  Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

If you, or a loved one, have not yet dealt with “tomorrow” perhaps it would be wise to consider TODAY what will effect your eternity.  Since none of us knows for certain IF tomorrow will even come, it would be wise to give that serious attention TODAY!

Psalm 118:24  TODAY is the day the Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it!
