490 TRUST!

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

WWJD – What would Jesus do?

Jesus came from our heavenly father and has an advantage over us about trusting Him……BUT He lived His life to show us HOW TO TRUST GOD.

Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Everything Jesus did, He did in trust to His father, Everything Jesus said was to cause trust for His father, and His whole life was intrusted to His father.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

It is common knowledge that it is easy to trust God when things are going well but not so much when we are stressed and oppressed.

We look to Jesus and think He had it pretty good until His last few years but Jesus spent His FIRST 30 years walking, talking, and living with His heavenly father. They were never apart until Jesus hung on the Roman cross, where His father HAD to turn away from the sin, which Jesus took on for us.

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Even though it was stressful for Him, Jesus had committed His way to His father and had no regrets when it became hard. (It is not blasphemy to question God as long as we don’t disrespect Him.)

Jesus IS God’s living word and when we look to Jesus, we will see God’s word living and acting out in reality.

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

So the Old Testament scriptures become real in the life of Jesus; even in His death.

Jesus dead and went to Hell and still trusted His father, even there. His mission was to defeat death and take the keys of death and hell.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Most of us doubt and retreat from God, when our lives become hard, but THAT is when we NEED GOD more.

Jesus taught and showed us that we must trust God for ALL OUR LIFE and TO THE END OF OUR LIFE. It is the best way to have perfect peace because then everything about us and our lives will be for God and His son, Jesus Christ.

Determine to trust Him forever and the rest of your life will be established in Him.

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own.
