Dear Muslim Friend (a re-post of what I originally posted on 12/26/2008)
I've heard that Allah is a god who is hard to please. That he's easily angered. That he is fickle - he changes his mind often.
I believe in, pray to, and worship a God who is easily pleased. A person needs only to exercise faith in Him to please Him. He is slow to anger. Patient. Longsuffering. He loves all humankind as a father loves His own children. He desires to safeguard, love and prosper them. He desires to give life everlasting (eternal life in heaven after a person's physical body passes away) to everyone who will simply receive that gift from Him. He is not fickle. He has almost never changed His mind (but He did so a few times in history because of the fervent, righteous prayers of people who had much faith in Him). He doesn't need to change His mind because His plans and His ways are perfect. He has had the same plan for the salvation of sinful human beings for six thousand years. His plan was always and is still to pay the price for them Himself. What an amazing act of love: God - Eternal, Almighty, Infinite God - paying at His own infinite cost the penalty that is due for the sins of every human who ever lived.
I know the God I believe in very well. It is His desire that everyone should know Him. He is a God of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and perfect self-control. I desire to introduce you to my God. Won't you let me chat with you about Him so that you can meet Him and experience His awesome love for yourself?
Ask me and I will share my great God with you.
