Happy Mothers' Day?

I don't know about you, but I have a difficult time with mothers' day.  First of all, my son was born that same weekend, so there is no sense phoning two days in a row.  This year his birthday is on Saturday the day before mothers' day.  I sent a card and am going to wait for a call on Sunday. :)

Oh, that's one of four.  The other three won't acknowledge me.  Why not?  I guess they have their reasons.  One by one they have stopped acknowledging the fact that I am their mother.  It has been over the years.  I want to say, "It's okay."  But no, it is NOT okay.  BUT it is between them and God.  I have repented for my sins and been forgiven. Their sins are between them and God. My job is, and always has been, to pray for them.

And I will pray for all the mothers out there who, for whatever reason, will not be hearing from their children this Mothers' Day. I pray for your sadness to depart as you once again release those children to the Lord.  He has a plan for their lives.  He knew that this day would come and that they would be where they are, both physically and spiritually. So this week and weekend, I am praying for you... that sorrow will be replaced by joy... somehow.

Two things:
1. All of us are "broken" people and Jesus is the only one who can fix us.
2. G.A.P. = God answers Prayer. "For the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous (wo)man availeth much!" So keep hanging in there.
