Kiss The Son

Psalm 2 King James Version (KJV)

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

(The answer to this question is in the third verse. The heathen refers to the Gentile nations that will try to have world dominion under the rule of the antichrist. They hate God’s rule over them which are represented by the words, “bands” and “cords”.)

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

(Against the Lord means against God the Father, and against his anointed means against the Lord Jesus, the Son.

1 Samuel 2: 10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn {note: kingdom} of his anointed

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,)

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

(Why does God laugh and not just a simple laugh but one of scorn? The word derision explains the kind of laughter as ridicule. I think it is because of their stupidity. They want to take on the creator of heaven and earth, the rightful owner of the universe, in battle, to do away with Him and His Son.) Pay attention to the words, “possessor of heaven and earth” in the scriptures that follow.

Genesis 14:

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

(Who wants to be on the receiving end of God’s displeasure? I hope not any of you who are reading this.)

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

(This is still to come but it is written as though it is already done. No army can prevent this from being fulfilled. Oh, the king who will possess Zion is the Son of God the Father, who will do it but by His Son [I {Father} set my king {Son}].

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

(The Son of God, Jesus, came already and this scripture was fulfilled. Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. {Note: resurrection and begotten are the same or at least they are linked to a day}

Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?)

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

(The heathen (Gentile nations) will be subdued and be possessed as a rightful inheritance by the Son and all the joint heirs {Born again Christians and all others who were redeemed since Abel}. The whole earth is meant here not only the nations which will go to battle against the Lord Jesus.

Psalm 22:28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.

Revelation 20: And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.)

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

(I will leave this alone. It speaks very clearly what will become of the disobedient people.)

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

(The last three verses are special instructions to those in authority and ends with the promise that some of them can be included in the “all who trust in him”. Kiss the Son. Welcome Him into your life. Do not be stupid and think that you will escape if you make Him angry with you. Please don’t think that you are too great because you are a judge or a king and reject this message from the word of God.)

With love and peace to you.
