Praise and Prayer Request...

It has been several weeks now, That I really sensed that we were supposed to go back to the Assembly of God Church. So I have been going back to the church as much as I am able to get a car to go.  My wife has not been to church with me. She knows that I feel that that is where we are supposed to be.  She doesnt like the pastor and will not be happy going there until he quits. I on the other  hand do not have a problem with him. He as well as other members of the church has accepted that I have a disability, and they are not giving me a hard time about it. My wife and I are hitting some rough patches in our marriage. I think she holds resentment toward me because I am not working. She knows i have a illness and cant work. I do around the house as I can...I just dont know anymore. We both need prayer for our marriage. She doesnt have the best attitude and lashes out at people way too much. She doesnt take any initiative to like my friends or family. I just dont know anymore. Please pray for us....

Richard --Bless you brother--I know the difficulty you had being transparent first with the problems and the church.
I have faced both the mental and the emotional side also. I think maybe your wife is very insecure but she will become more responsive if follow the consistentcy in Sarah's advice. Constantcy is what she needs to see in you.
be constant in the Lord. As far as the past goes what you need face is now not yesterday.
read Phillipians 2.

Richard, I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having, and I am already praying for you! May I make a couple of suggestions? (1) On the Praize home page, upper right corner, is the name Michael Smith. I suggest you listen to his teachings. (2) Try to find a church your wife likes and make that your main church. Then you can go to this one you like for additional services. (3) Read your Bible morning and night. You don't have to read much, just read it. And (4) pray together with your wife. You be the leader, but listen to her prayers wthout criticizing. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and, believe me, it has not been easy. But I knew that I had made a promise to God to love this man, so I stayed with him. And it has become awesome! So stick it out, but study to show yourself approved. As you grow closer to God, your wife will respond. Blessings ~ Sarah
