Overflowing With Thankfulness

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and OVERFLOWING WITH THANKFULNESS.- Colossians 2:6-7 NIV

We need to be overflowing with thankfulness. I know we get sad, and disappointed, because of all of the challenges that this life brings us. But God's goodness should always be foremost on our Mind. We should be praising the Lord, and thanking Him for His goodness every day. Every morning that we wake up, we should be thankful that as the scripture says, "His mercies are NEW EVERY MORNING."

You have Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Truly, He is ALL YOU NEED. Truly...YOU HAVE ENOUGH IN HIM!!!! Try not to focus on your problems, or spend time worrying about them. Just say, "Thank you, God."   Just contemplate the mercies of God, and be thankful and grateful for all that He has done for you this far.  None of us would be where we are today, if it were not for the Lord's Power and Grace.  Let what God has done for you in the past FUEL YOU.  Don't listen to the discouraging lies of the enemy, which try to seduce you into believing that your trouble is never going to pass. You serve an AWESOME GOD!!!  He is intimately involved in the affairs of your life, and He will give you all that you need.  All that you must do to have peace, joy, and satisfaction in life is keep trusting the Lord, and abiding in Him. This world has nothing to offer you! It cannot solve your problems, so do yourself a favor and stop thinking that it can! Only the Lord can solve the problems in your life. An attitude of Gratitude and Thankfulness demonstrates that you REALLY DO TRUST HIM. Plus, it pleases God when you offer sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving.

Being thankful will create space in your heart for God to work through you, and bless you.  Being thankful will create a wonderful snowball effect, which will help you see and recognize more and more things that you can be grateful for. I hope you will diligently consider all the ways you have been ungrateful, and have not appreciated all that God has done for you( ESPECIALLY THE LITTLE THINGS)!! Ask God to forgive you for not having had an attitude of thankfulness in the past, and then make a committment to be grateful, and thankful- no matter what is going on. Please consider that no matter what your situation, there are people in this world that have far less blessings than you do; that in itself is one thing to be thankful for!  A heart filled with thankfulness will draw you closer to God, and help you to receive MORE of His Spirit and goodness. I pray this has helped you. God bless you all.

Hi sister Amenti,

I am thankful for you and for the blogs you are posting. I am thankful for being able to read and to understand what you are saying. Each day is a gift to us. Each day that the Father grants us to live in this world is precious because the gifts are from Him.

One of the things that help keep me thankful is when I remember what happened in world war two to millions of people and think that God spared me from such terrible things.

With Love and Peace to you.
