327 SHOW ME.

James
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith
without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Ever
since God created man, He has had to contend with our weaknesses. Eve sinned
and got Adam to sin and we have been giving in to our lusts and desires ever
since. We have been teaching each other and our children down through the ages
how to sin and give in to our lusts.

We have
fallen so far away from God’s expected Holiness that any act of repentance or
obedience on our part is getting God’s attention and encouragement.

You
see, God does not expect us to conform into a powerful prophet like Moses
instantly, so He is looking for the small changes we have learned to make
towards Him.

At the
same time, the church has lowered its standards since Jesus established it to
reach even the simplest or wickedest soul.

Acts
15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no
greater burden than these necessary things;

Acts
15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from
things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye
shall do well. Fare ye well.

Acts
10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that
God is no respecter of persons:

Acts
10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is
accepted with him.

After
saying this, I will go on to say everyone who turns to God in hopes of
acceptance and with a willingness to find and know Him will be led by the Holy
Spirit to change howsoever small or gradual that may be. God knows our
strengths and weaknesses and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can
handle without making a way for us to escape.

1Corinthians
10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but
will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it.

We have
seen God’s church reduced to a similitude of the world and its organizations
just to be a place where people can come to hear the gospel of Christ. We are
seeing saints begging people to come to the most wonderful God and yet they are
failing.

The
church looks like the world and the world looks like the church but that is
only on the outside. Anyone knowing what signs to look for can spot God’s
church in a second. Faith in the son of God cannot be hidden from one who has
walked in their shoes but a short time ago.

Faith
will have appropriate actions following it or it is not faith.

James
2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? can faith save him?

James
2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

James
2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and
filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the
body; what doth it profit?

James
2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Everyone
is looking for truth and honest sincerity even though they are not that way
themselves. They search for one who will really love them and make excuses as
to why they cannot act that way towards others. Real faith acts in a Holy
manner because they have that faith in God and not in the reactions of the
people they are trying to work with.

Real
faith believes the two greatest commandments and their actions will be directed
along the lines of that faith.

Mark
12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment.

Mark
12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Real faith
will act in response to the love of God and a love of our fellow man, not to
appease them but to honestly help them.

James
2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

James
2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had
received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

James
2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead
also.

Even
the actions of a lowly whore who hid God’s messengers from her own people and
against her own cities laws were approved by God and won her a place with Him,
so anyone’s simple act of kindness towards the things they know to belong to
God will be counted as acts of faith.
