Favorite Words of Wisdom from TEC Wisdom

There are some statements that touch us at various times of our lives. They are words of wisdom that we read, hear, or inspire us from within ourselves. Of course, all real inspiration and wisdom comes from the LORD, the Father of Lights in whom there is neither variableness or shadow of turning.

Here are some of my picks inspired by God or other people. You may read more TEC Wisdom on The Elizabeth Company webpage at http://www.theelizabethcompany.com/tec-wisdom.html

Recipe for peace: Command what your eyes will see, what your ears will hear, what your mouth will speak, and where your feet will go.

Favor: defined as "unfair partiality." Recipients should not be surprised when such partiality spills over into the lives of those around them.

As much as we've tried to avoid it, we become more like our parents as we get older.

All of us are vessels waiting to be filled with something. We get to choose what. What will it be? Love? Anger? God? Truth? Compassion?

"Getting my life back" denotes re-embracing the past. Why should not I "Get My Life Forward"?

In silence lies Hope. It is only through speaking and addressing that Hope is either affirmed (confirmed) or annulled (cancelled).

Be content in your own skin. Besides, no one can wear it quite like you.

When your character is being assassinated, the best reaction is none. Live your life as if those people, their lies, slander, rumors and gossip do not exist. You must be doing something mighty good for the devil to go after you like that.

God doesn’t call victims, he calls soldiers.

Don’t trust in circumstances GOOD or BAD. There’s someone bigger than you who has veto power!

I found out that it's alright to ask God questions about things we don't understand with a child's innocence, not a fool's anger.

Sometimes you don't win because you are all that great. Sometimes it's how you stick it out.

A balanced life is one with the right amounts of work, fun, service and rest in it.

To try to pick a fight with a dead person is senseless, useless, and downright creepy Colossians 3:3,5,8, 12, 13-16, Matthew. 5:44.

If you don't want negative things to happen in your life, stop giving them life through what you say!

I discovered that everything I need, I find at home. IT'S IN THE HOUSE!

I will not live life in fear. A life lived in fear is a life not lived.

Instead of getting competitive when someone else excels, be happy for them. Trust me, it feels so much better.

When you know who you are and what you have, you can ignore anyone's accusations.

Value the folks in your house. Stop being angry and realize how much they really mean to you. They are the ones in the trenches with you!
