DEATH THE END OR PROMOTION

                              DEATH THE END OR PROMOTION??

This past week we lost another puppy and that day proved to be quite difficult !! Seven years old and the dog was still a puppy to my wife. I don’t know how you spell her name but here is my best shot--”SADEY” Sadey had suffered with arthritis and unknown invasions into her spinal column. Each day for the last month it had been increasingly difficult for her to get up and walk. However there is a relation between canine arthritis and a problem called hip displeasure which she was also having problems with.

After seeing her suffer increasingly and at the last having her suffer extremely just getting up we knew it was necessary to end her suffering.

After getting to the vet and having the arrangements made with the final injection we watched as her body gave way to the drugs and at the last  minute her eyes closed and she was gone. I got a mental image of the family leaving the house at night and after locking the door turning out the lights and leaving. There was nothing but an building where the family had been. The life in the house was gone but not dead.

In the moment of closing her eyes she didn’t die at least the important part didn’t the life in the body of that dog just left the house that betrayed her so badly and went to a place where  she and many other family members will wait for us.

I have studied death a great deal for the last year and have come to a firm conclusion, just as the devil might want you to think cancer is the end ,that no more is true than to say death is a victory, look at this written by Paul to Corinth;

Death is swallowed up in victory.

55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Death is a transition from this life to God’s kingdom. We have a massive female shepherd there in Glory that I long to see but I can wait to see her at her best as she is now. The writer said Heaven is a place of storage and that’s where she is at the feet of the Lord.

I am realizing what Jesus had for me after 65 years of life and that is to announce that the grave has long since succumbed to the power of the name of Jesus The devil has had me there four times and Ihave looked over the brink into hell .Jesus took me and we arm in arm walked back. Death holds no victory and Jesus is the conqueror

If death was the final foe that we could face that Jesus has put it under his feet then everything that comes against us would be under his feet also. The only way they can come out; is for us to open the way back into our lives. What have we gained victory through Christ in. I heard a preacher bring up all this is victorious under Christ when we see him in Glory.

That just didn’t sound right; it was one of those things that sound good when you first hear it but after you digest it for a moment the truth comes through.

We don’t need victory over them in heaven because those things that oppress us here were put under his feet and ours on earth when we by faith accept all that Christ accomplished for us on Calvary.

Death, Lack ,poverty, every form of sickness and loss were nailed to the cross and conquered in our lives through Christ.

How are we victorious ??

Amen, and praise God for the victory! Death is fearful only to those who have no hope of a glorious future in eternity. Blessed be the name of the Lord, we know!
