1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one
mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

‘To the power of’
is a mathematical term meaning that, whatever is being multiplied, is being
multiplied by itself. Two to the power of one is two times two, etc.

Romans 13:1 Let every
soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the
powers that be are ordained of God.

God is all power
and He is the power. He is the total of all the different powers and one, total
power. Any power that we can see has been allowed and given by God. God has
given us the power to have life. God has even given evil the power to tempt

When we
understand that God is all power, then we can begin to understand that God is
working everything to His good and doing it His way. Our problem is that we
want to think that our way is correct and that God must be wrong. We place way
too much importance in our way of thinking.

God wants to be
our God and uses the phrase of being our father to illustrate this relationship
for our understanding. (Unfortunately, the word ‘father’ has a distasteful
meaning today because of the way fathers have and are acting with and around
their offspring.)

God, in wanting
us to obey and serve Him is not lowering the human race to a servant level but
is raising it to the proper position that it was created for; to be the sons of
a very attentive and loving father.

His disciplines
are to correct our evil thoughts and ways so we can be brought back to our
normal position.

Our actions are
scrutinized so He can help us get it right; not so He can vent some misguided
emotion on us.

We have the most
powerful and merciful being in all creation who made us in His image and is big
enough and powerful enough to have one, perfect place for us in Himself. Isn’t
it a shame that mankind is fooled by God’s enemies into thinking that He wants
to abuse and oppress us? Isn’t it sad that people have come to think that God
is totally indifferent to the one thing that He created to be the greatest
pleasure in His world?

God does not need
you or I; He WANTS you and me
to be His friends. Jesus didn’t obey His father to oppress the populations of
the world. He obeyed Him because He loved Him and wanted to help us understand
this love. He and we are trying to explain it to those who don’t know God so
they can have the relationship with God that He wants them to have.

There is more
than enough room in this huge and multiple faceted God for everyone. He is
saddened when even one person rejects His attempts to help them understand His
ability and love.

We are this
wonderful God’s work to create ‘perfect love’. Our hearts are the canvasses
that God is painting on in this great work. The ‘mansion’ that Jesus is
building for us is the perfect body that we are being formed into for His

14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

We are the part
of this multiple faceted God that most people will see and we are a part of the
mighty God of all creation.

John 14:10Believest thou not that I
am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak
not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Colossians 1:27To whom God would make
known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the
Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Not only are we in Him, He is
our help, strength and enabler in the work that He has called us to. We have
now become a multitude with limitless abilities and strength so we can show
those needing help the great God we love. We are the physical presence of God
on this earth and are a part of His ‘power of one’.

Because of Him,
you are a multitude.

Romans 8:37Nay, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
