Appreciating and Being Content With Your Life!

I am so grateful for all of God's blessings.  This world is full of amazing wonders.  Lately, I have really been making an effort to appreciate what is right in my life.    I think that as we affirm the good, we make room for God to bless us even more!  We can get stuck and  depressed, and sick for that matter, from always thinking about what is wrong, or bad, about our lives.  It's a daily journey, life on this planet.  I desire to make the most of every day, and enjoy life now, not just when I finally accomplish my dreams.  There is always a next level we can aspire to. Appreciating the little things, and the things that are really good and right in your life, is really something for a mature Christian to aspire to.  Paul said he had learned to be content no matter what situation he found himself in.  The Bible also encourages us to be  content with what we have, and work with what God has given us, and multiply it, no matter how insignificant what we have may seem.  God has given us everything we need to be content, and I would even dare to say happy.  All throughout the Bible we see God telling us, " Fear not."  But most of us fear, and that is why we are not content and happy.  We are familiar with our fears, and it seems safer for us to cling to our fears, rather than really, TOTALLY trust in God.  Rarely do you find a person whose emotions don't get the best of him most of the time.  But once we realize we are fearful, we can do something about it.  Through prayer, we can allow the Lord to expose those areas in our lives where we are fearful, and we can let Him replace the fears in these areas with His joy.  You are supposed to be joyful, really.  God is with you, in everything, and He has provided a way for you to be content, and for you to be able to appreciate your life.  I hope you will trust him in this today. -Amenti

What a good word, Amenti! I'm glad I had time to "catch up" on your blogs today.

God bless you, Amenti,

This is a good word. So many people live not only in fear, but also in dread. It ruins any hope of enjoying the now of our lives. We must remember that joy is our choice, happiness is according to circumstance. I choose joy any day of the week.

Abba sent you to Praize just for m! I surely needed to hear this today. (And probably every day!) What you wrote is nothing new to me. As Keith Moore would say: I KNOW it in my KNOWER! But knowing and doing are two very different things. Abba placed Praize in our hands (Hubby's and mine); but it is up to Him to raise it up for His glory. We can only be obedient. I think I will address this more in my blog. Big hug to you, Amenti, for being here and for being such an encouragement to me and many others! God bless - Sarah
