With My Whole Heart,From my friend Connie Heard..

With My Whole Heart

Praise and worship has become a staple in most contemporary churches today.  As a matter of fact, praise and worship has become one of the most popular genres in the music field.

At some point in the church service, we’re expected to stand and lift our hands and sing out to God.We’re expected to enter into a time of praising and worshipping the God we serve.

Psalm 9, “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.  I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

In all of our times of praise and worship services, how many times are we praising Him with our whole heart?  There is a difference in our routine singing and the emotional excitement that we may find ourselves experiencing and praising God with our whole heart.

When we praise Him with our whole heart, we shut out everything and everybody except the God that we are praising and worshipping.  We experience Him.  We love on Him while He loves on us.

In that place, we exchange our “cares  for what He cares about.  We become naked before Him and allow Him to impart to us and speak to our hearts.  We allow the peace of God to minister to our heavy hearts and minds.

Whole means all.  We will praise Him with all of our hearts and leave no part of our hearts out of the experience.

Our prayer should be - our cry should be - Lord teach me how to worship You.  Lord, teach me how to praise You with my whole heart, holding nothing back.

Then we will tell of all His marvelous works.  Then we will be glad and rejoice in Him, O God Most High.

Blessings,

AMEN! I have found myself praising God with one eye heavenwards and the other searching around the congregation. That is NOT wholehearted worship. Awesome word that reminds us to search our hearts before and during worship!

About: Welcome to my site. Hoping you find words of encouragement. And from time to time a little Humor! Like for example A.S.A.P. to me means Always say a Prayer. Also LOL! means Loving our Lord!I am in my fourth year of learning all I can about our~Father[Abba}God. I did not know being a Christian would be the time of my Life. "So thrilling". Better than a Roller Coaster. My favorite phrase is "Don't Worry Be Happy" If you are feeling sad just e-mail me and you will feel better. I just do not know what comes over me at times, I do know that God gave me a sense of humor and I am a happy person 99% of the time. Even if something should happen to a family member I trust God 100% to take care of it. My 30 year old daughter has B-Cell lymphoma cancer, today was her 2nd treatment. I am not upset about the cancer in-as-much as to my daughter not Knowing Our Heavenly Father as intimately as I do. We do have a lot of people praying for her as she goes thru this storm. She is staying positive about life and; that in itself is GREAT!She is the Mother of 3 young sons ages 2 months old, 5 years old and a 12 years old. A big thank you to my brothers and sisters in Christ who have been and will be keeping Laura in your prayers daily.Aloha for now,Love from my heart to yours!! Lori N.................
