The Quail Are Fat

The Quail Are Fat

This morning I am watching the quail through my sliding glass doors that lead to the patio. We have lived in this house for two years and every spring the quail make their appearance. Their family has been reared, and they are once again free to roam. And they are fat. They are fat with the fat that will take them through the winter and into spring when seeds and insects will once again be in abundance.

Watching the quail makes me think about the Lord. How much He sees. How much He concerns Himself over our care. Psalm 50:11 says: "I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine." The insects are His! How much more are we, His people!

Sometimes fear attacks me. Usually in finances. I grew up poor, right after the depression. The results of it were still being felt as families tried to recover. Then we sidled right into World War II. But God... He cares about the birds... (and the insects! LOL) That means He cares about the quail in my yard. And that means He cares about me; which means He cares about Praize! It is His website. We are only His vessels.

He cares about us, and the new is on the way. Those in control of the new Praize site have given us the end of February as their goal date for completion! That is less than two months away! We will soon begin the countdown of days. And like Jenny's pregnancy that I mentioned in the Spotlight, we don't know when the exact day will be, but Abba does. And we can trust that He will bring it to pass in His perfect timing.
