A God-Blessed Day

A God-Blessed Day

It's 7:00 a.m. I have been up since 5:30. This is not unusual for me, but it could be mid-afternoon for all that has transpired in this one hour and a half!

I awoke feeling a little down. That also is not unusual for me. Early mornings are where the ugly one comes in. I suppose I am weakest in the faith at that time. My personality has always been one of negativity. But God has always been faithful to continue working on it and in me. :) So must of the time I am able to keep negative thoughts off the surface of my life. It does not come naturally, and even at my age is often still an effort.

So this morning I got up and said, "Father, I need something today." I picked up my "It's Your Time" book by Joel Osteen. (If you have not read this book, it is on my "most recommended" list! God definitely is in it and speaks through it!) It is talking this morning about seeds planted, how they need time to germinate. How it is dark in the ground and in that dark time something supernatural is happening! That even packed in tons of soil (dark and dirty stuff - my addition!) that seed cannot be stopped.

Then one day, because the life of God is in it, the seed breaks through the earth's surface. No longer buried. A new beginning. As time goes by, it grows into a beautiful plant, producing bright, colorful flowers. Yes, Lord!

A big challenge today, means a big destiny tomorrow. Do not give up. We are not buried, simply planted. And so with Praize. It is not buried, it is simply planted. God, in His time, is bringing it forth. What we can't see on the surface is taking place underground. Get ready!

Well, today I have typed myself happy! I am going to try to get here more often. Possibly daily. I think we need more daily blogs to encourage one another, and it might as well begin with me. I am hugging you all.
