Onward Toward Home

We all walk a lonely and separate path.   A Road no one can walk for us. The choices we make everyday decides our eternal fate. Many of us a long time ago, choose to follow Jesus and by faith receive His shed blood as full payment for our sins! Sometimes the road gets tiring and it seems it will be forever. The light can be seen at the end of the road, but the end is farther ahead than we had hoped.

In the road we find rocks and pitfalls which cause us to stumble, sometimes even fall on the way, however most of us pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep walking.  Through everything - our hope remains fervent - that home is just around the corner. The darkness, nor the pit falls can't stop us - we push onward toward home.

When we are bombarded or broken, doubting or afraid - we must press on. Fathers house has many dwellings, John 14:2) Jesus said, "if it were not so, He would have told us."  "I go away to prepare a place for you" He said "where I am, you can be also!"

The word gives me assurance of a better home beyond this life. I know there's place just for me. No one can take my place nor change my seat. A name card is right there on the table ready and waiting for me to get home and sit down. So when distractions come to tempt me or destroy me - I push on toward home. I firmly fix my eyes on a place I have never seen but know by faith exists. It is so real to me I can smell the flowers. I can almost feel the mist from the crystal sea. Once in a while I think I hear angels wings and so I press on toward home.
