Gently she kneels at the manger,
Gently she unwraps the swaddling clothes,
Gently she looks into the face of God,
Gently she kisses His face, and knows.
Pondering thoughts in her heart,
She knows, what was foretold,
The warmth of this child, fills her
with joy untold, only a mother could know.
This birth of the Christ child the Holy One,
Sent to save the world, Holy is He, our
soon coming King, just as Mary unwrapped
His clothes, we too, must let Him be loosed
in our lives, to be everything He was meant
