Jesus taught us in parables

The Lord has been speaking to my heart since yesterday about little children. Whether we are young or old we are still His little children.  There were these two little stars one was obedient to do everything the Lord asked of him, and then there was the other that was always trying to do things in her way. It's easier to separate them in terms of male or female. So I will call the one star David and the other one Maria.  David so brave, he shined among the stars so brightly at night and he was always, always very careful to go where he was called to go and do what he was called to do.  Maria thought that it was so fun to go off in other parts of the galaxy and find a different route to go then where she was placed.  Mischievous, rascally, curious, full of joy, and at times it got her into big trouble. She had a wandering eye, never content to stay in one place, always thinking that if I could just search out other places in this vast sky that there would be more excitement, new mystery's revealed and new adventures.  Now God had placed her just where He had wanted her and sometimes He had to reach out and bring her back to her own senses.  How many of us seem to think that there are so much bigger and better things to grab on to, newer places to go, new heights to achieve, newer adventures to go with God and we set off in our lofty endeavors to do it our way?  There is a way which seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12  Proverbs 3:5 says: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. verse 6: In all thy ways acknowledge him,  and he shall direct thy paths.  David was following the ways of the Lord and he was crowned with good success.  Marie seemed to want to do things in her own way and thus found it hard to be obedient in the things where she was placed. We must be obedient to the things of God and hear Him and what He has for us to do. Then we too can be like David the star and find blessings and good success. I Timothy 6:6 says: But godliness with contentment is great gain.  We must do the things of the Lord, but sometimes He calls us to be content. For it is God that promotes and when He finds us faithful in the little things He will give us bigger things.  I am praying to be content in what I am called to do and not despise the day of small beginnings. God bless you. Lisa
