Strength/Weakness

If there is one thing that the devil hammers you with what would it be?

I will tell you that your greatest struggle may be your greatest strength. I will give you 3 examples:

1) John the Baptist... he was the foretold Elijah, that said prepare the way of the Lord, and this (Jesus) is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Later we see that while John was in prison, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he was the Messiah. You see, John's greatest strength was proclaiming the coming of the Lord, but the devil got to him.

 --------------------------------------

2) Peter... We all know that Peter is known for his confession, when Jesus said to Peter, "Who do you say I am," Peter answered, you are the Christ... the Son of the Living God. I believe that this was Peter's greatest strength. It was a Revelation from the throne-room of God, to Him. Later we see that Peter denied Jesus 3 times, and also cursed. Wow!!! Was he a failure? Was that a weakness? No. His confession of Jesus was His greatest strength in my opinion.

---------------------------------------

3) Jesus... Jesus is the Word. He is the Word of God. The Walking Word of God, so guess how the devil attacked Jesus? The devil attacked Jesus with the Word. The devil quoted, or should I say mis-quoted (since it was out of context) scripture. The only difference is that Jesus "Rightly quoted the word back to him." The devil tried to trip the litteral walking Word of God with the Word, but came up short because Jesus knew the Word, was the Word, and did not give the devil a foothold.

 ----------------------------------------

Conclusion:

The greatest battle that you have in your life, that none of us see, or hear, or know, may be your greatest strength. The devil knows that if he can get your greatest strength, then the rest of you will be easy pickings. Your struggles are an indication that you are alive in Christ, and not one of the frozen chosen.

God has given you His word, His power, and His wisdom to be more than a conquerer in this life. You are a King's kid, and the best days are ahead of you. You have a date with destiny. You have a date with a King. I thank you God for giving me a strength that makes the gates of hell worried, and the gates of heaven rejoice. Be blessed in your King's name.
