I am grateful for, and yet so very, very sorry that we have the luxury of debating what is for many people life and death situations. I, no less than any other, am guilty of forgetting the truth of hatred-spawned injustice and genocide. It is the deplorable condition to which humanity has fallen, time and time again, for reasons known only in ...

I Do Not Hate God!

Authored by jeanne53 on Fri, Sep 23 2005 - 06:33 PM

Without fail someone who is new to the viewpoint of atheism will ask me why I hate God. Then follows the brainstorm that if I can hate God, then I must believe in God. I find it difficult to persuade believers that I do not hate God. I do not think on God at all, except when debating, discussing, questioning belief in God, or contemplating God's ...

Jeremy Camp's song Lay down my pride

Authored by d2000pan on Tue, Aug 30 2005 - 06:28 PM

This song seems to point to the cross.  Most of Jeremy's songs don't talk about the cross much except for this one.  That is good for him to write a song about that.  The name Jesus is not mention in the song, he has replace it with you and your.  I think this would have been better if it had Jesus shed his blood for me.Todays verse:  Romans 8:14  ...

Is you church have a fall festival?  My church is doing one of those alternatives to Halloween.  Giving candy to the kids.  Fun activities at the church.  What's the difference?  Some people say its a safe environment for the kids because it happens at church.  I am not a big fan of Halloween.  I've never went trick of treating.  Its a pagan ...

When my Daddy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease quite a few years ago, he had all ready passed through a time when an early mini-stroke had made him into an irritable old his brothers and father before him, and had, thanks to another mini-stroke, become the lovable, huggable, very funny, and kind fellow he was to the end. I know ...

Authored by d2000pan on Sat, Aug 27 2005 - 08:30 AM

Raising Dragons is a book full of fantasy for young.  It is design for young people ages 7 to 15.  To me it looks like another book to compete against Harry Potter.  Raising Dragons teaches the principles of faith, love, and courage. It showed me how God can interact in our lives even in the most difficult situations that Satan can ever bring on. ...

Rebecca St. James song Wait for me

Authored by d2000pan on Fri, Aug 26 2005 - 05:44 PM

Rebecca did an interview about her song Wait for me.   She says it is a song for her future husband.  A love song.   It seems to me like love songs are replacing worship songs on Christian radio.  I think Christian artists should get away from the love songs and sing for Christ.  Not sing for some guy or some girl. ...

I don't know how to begin this and I'm not sure why I'm putting it here.  I guess maybe I want to write out my thoughts yet again.  I have been dating this guy for 2 years.  We were going to get married, but we postponed it.  By "we" I mean, he wanted more time and I didn't disagree that it would be a good idea.  The past few weeks have ...

Well, I started a club on Praize yesterday. Those who post in atheist debate, and who don't want to intrude into areas where christians debate and socialize felt kind of like the odd man out. We are in a debate area, and getting off topic to socialize is not debate. So now we have a bare bones club in which we can meet. It will be as ...

It's only through Him

Authored by admin on Sat, Aug 13 2005 - 01:04 PM

Also in verse 5, notice that our "spiritual and acceptable sacrifices" are BY JESUS. Not by our own hands nor our own works, but BY and THROUGH the power and work of Jesus. Otherwise, as Isaiah said, all our righteousness is filthy rags. It is only by the spirit working in us that we are able to accomplish anything acceptable to the Lord, ...
