Randy Fountain MINI BIOGRAPHY Hurricane George knocked down my family's pecan tree. The tree was 35" in diameter and I intended to cut it up for firewood. My friend Jackie Davidson, knew a man who wanted pecan for woodturning. The man cut up this tree and took some wood. One day he invited me to watch him make a wood bowl. One month later I bought a lathe and began taking lessons from renowned sculpting artist Adrian Turner of Ocean Springs, MS. I am very greatful for Adrian's patience, friendship and love for God.
I really enjoy cutting into a piece of wood and revealing the inner beauty designed by God. Natural designs found in wood are like fingerprints, as every log will produce unique patterns of lines and colors. CLUB MEMBERSHIPS Azalea Woodturners - Mobile, AL
